YANG BERHORMAT AWANG ABDUL AZIZ BIN HAJI HAMDAN meminta MENTERI PEMBANGUNAN menyatakan langkah dan mekanisme yang dilaksanakan oleh pihak kerajaan bagi mengawal kualiti serta keselamatan bahan dan barangan binaan yang diimport dan digunakan di Brunei Darussalam? Adakah terdapat piawaian atau pemeriksaan berkala untuk memastikan produk yang dijual adalah berkualiti, selamat digunakan dan tidak mendatangkan risiko kepada pengguna?

Yang Berhormat Menteri Pembangunan​

Kementerian Pembangunan melalui Jawatankuasa Pendaftaran Pengimport Bahan Asas Pembinaan mengawal bahan-bahan asas binaan iaitu Batu, Pasir, Batu-Bata Merah dan Simen. Untuk makluman, syarikat Pengimport yang berhasrat untuk membawa masuk bahan-bahan Asas berkenaan ke Negara Brunei Darussalam dikehendaki untuk memohon kebenaran Permit Import melalui sistem Brunei Darussalam National Single Window (BDNSW). Bahan-bahan Asas binaan tersebut hendaklah mempunyai laporan ujian terkini dari makmal yang diiktiraf oleh Badan Pengiktirafan Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) dan setelah tiba di Negara Brunei Darussalam, pemeriksaan berkala melalui program penilaian mutu akan dilaksanakan oleh pihak Jabatan Kerja Raya bagi memastikan bahan-bahan asas binaan tersebut menepati piawaian.
