YANG BERHORMAT AWANG LAU HOW TECK meminta MENTERI SUMBER-SUMBER UTAMA DAN PELANCONGAN menyatakan apakah rancangan kerajaan dalam mewujudkan mekanisme pasaran jaminan hasil (price assurance mechanism) bagi produk-produk pertanian tempatan yang terdedah kepada turun naik harga mendadak, bagi menjamin kelangsungan operasi dan minat pelabur swasta?

Pihak Kementerian pada ketika ini tidak memiliki perancangan untuk mengawal kadar harga jualan, khususnya bagi hasil pertanian. Namun demikian, Kementerian ini sentiasa melaksanakan pemantauan secara aktif terhadap harga jualan hasil pertanian di pasaraya tempatan. Pemantauan ini bertujuan untuk mengumpul data bagi memahami keadaan semasa harga pasaran. Maklumat harga tersebut juga digunakan sebagai rujukan dalam membuat anggaran nilai hasil pertanian pada tempoh tertentu.

Sehubungan ini, pihak Kementerian dan Jabatan Pertanian dan Agrimakanan juga akan terus melaksanakan pemantauan bagi tren pengimportan produk-produk pertanian, khususnya yang dikenalpasti boleh dihasilkan di Negara Brunei Darussalam dan berpotensi mengimbangi import, bagi memastikan impak bekalan produk-produk tersebut kepada pasaran Negara Brunei Darussalam adalah terkawal dan stabil.
