At present, the Ministry does not have any plans to control the rate of selling prices, particularly for agricultural produce. Nevertheless, this Ministry continuously carries out active monitoring of the selling prices of agricultural produce in local supermarkets. This monitoring aims to collect data to understand the current state of market prices. The price information is also used as a reference in estimating the value of agricultural produce over a certain period.

In this regard, the Ministry and the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood will also continue to monitor import trends of agricultural products, particularly those identified as capable of being produced in Negara Brunei Darussalam and having the potential to offset imports, to ensure that the supply impact of those products on the Negara Brunei Darussalam market is controlled and stable.
