Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman asks the MINISTER OF EDUCATION to state what efforts are being made by the Ministry of Education to reduce the unemployment rate among graduates from higher education institutions and school leavers through discussions and integrated actions to create appropriate positions and jobs. The Ministry of Education implements various integrated efforts to reduce unemployment among school and higher education institution (IPT) graduates, and ensures that the education curriculum remains relevant to job market demands and the overall development of the country, as follows:

Collaboration with the Human Resource and Employment Planning Council (MPTMP) and the Human Resource Planning Office (PPTM):
- The Ministry of Education collaborates with MPTMP and PPTM in offering the Technical, Vocational Education, and Training Scholarship Scheme (TVET Scheme) in specific fields; and
- Planning workforce needs in identified sectors.

Strategic Collaboration with Industry:
- PT implements job placements to provide students with practical experience to enhance employability.
- IPT collaborates with industry and professional bodies to provide certification and recognition related to industry needs.

Curriculum Alignment with Job Market and National Development Needs:
- The Brunei Darussalam Qualifications Framework (BDQF) is reviewed and updated in line with international best practices;
- IPT collaborates with the industry in shaping the curriculum to ensure curriculum development is directed in line with trends and skill gaps needed by the job market.
