ANSWER:

Thank you, Yang Berhormat Yang Di-Pertua. Thank you also to Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann for the question posed regarding the Ministry of Development's planning for illuminating road line markings in rural areas, especially on main roads.

As information, the work of repainting faded road lines has been completed on several main routes in rural areas, including:

  • Jalan Rambai and Jalan Rambai–Merimbun, Tutong District
  • Jalan Bukit Sulang, Tutong District
  • Jalan Labi and Jalan Merangking, Belait District

The implementation of similar works will continue in stages according to priority and available allocations, including on the following routes:

  • Jalan Layong–Lamunin and Jalan Bukit Sulang, Tutong District, scheduled for tender opening on 11 August 2025
  • Jalan Tanjong Maya–Penapar, Tutong District, with tender opening expected on 18 August 2025

As a measure to expedite action, the public or stakeholders who wish to submit needs related to road works are advised to report via Talian Darussalam 123, in addition to informing the Director of the Roads Department and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Development for further attention and action.

Yang Berhormat Yang Di-Pertua. That is all the answer that Kaola can provide in response to the question from Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann.
