Thank you Yang Berhormat Yang Di-Pertua. Thank you also to Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann for the question raised regarding the implementation of road repair works from Jambatan Rasau heading to the Sungai Tujuh Immigration Control Post.

The Ministry of Development, through the Road Department, Public Works Department, is targeting a total of 5 KM of road along Jalan Rasau through three term contracts, which are expected to be fully rehabilitated in 2027 as follows:

Project 1: Rehabilitation of Road at Jalan Rasau KM3 to KM4, Belait District.

This project involves repair works on 0.5 km of damaged road, which commenced on 27 May 2025 and will be completed on 27 February 2026. The scope of works includes improving the road base by strengthening the road foundation using Geotech material, resurfacing works using asphalt mixed with fibre material, installation of safety signboards as well as road markings (road line marking).

Project 2: Repair and Resurfacing of Asphalt Roads (Highways / Main Roads / Village Roads / Junction Roads / National Housing / Government Offices / Commercial) - Package 7 - Belait District

This project involves repair works on 4.5 km of Jalan Rasau, which was submitted to the State Tender Board on 28 May 2025 for approval. Inshaa Allah, these repair works are expected to be completed in 2027.

Project 3: ADHOC - Term Contract for Maintenance of Roadworks at Jalan Rasau for a Period of Six (06) Months, Belait District.

This project consists of maintenance works on Jalan Rasau using a quotation contract for a period of 6 months, which commenced on 3 May 2025 and will end on 2 November 2025.
