Thank you Yang Berhormat Yang Di-Pertua. Thank you also to Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann for the question posed regarding the road repair implementation from Rasau Bridge to Sungai Tujuh Immigration Control Post.

The Ministry of Development through the Department of Roads, Public Works Department aims to rehabilitate a total of 5 KM of road at Jalan Rasau through three phase contracts expected to be fully completed by 2027, as follows:

Project 1: Rehabilitation of Road at Jalan Rasau KM3 to KM4, Belait District.

This project involves repairing 0.5km of damaged road, which started on 27 May 2025 and will be completed by 27 February 2026. The scope of work includes improving the road base by reinforcing the road foundation using Geotech material, resurfacing the road with asphalt mixed with fiber materials, installing safety signboards, and road line marking.

Project 2: Repairing and Resurfacing Asphalt Roads (Highways / Main Roads / Village Roads / Junction Roads / National Housing / Government Offices / Commercial) – Package 7 – Belait District.

This project involves repairing 4.5km of Jalan Rasau which was submitted to the State Tender Board on 28 May 2025 for approval. Inshaa Allah, these repairs are expected to be completed in the year 2027.

Project 3: ADHOC – Term Contract for Maintenance of Roadworks at Jalan Rasau for a Period of Six (06) Months, Belait District.

This project is for the maintenance of Jalan Rasau using a quotation contract for a period of 6 months starting from 3 May 2025 and will end on 2 November 2025.
