Thank you Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Isa bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin for the question raised.

The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Planning, Development and Research, conducted a survey on the implementation of the Integration System from July to August 2024.

The results of the survey have been shared during the Working Committee Meeting on the Integration System for improvement action. Among the findings from teachers' feedback, together with actions that have been and are being implemented, are:

  1. Infrastructure:

    • Finding: There is a need to improve several school infrastructure facilities such as prayer rooms, ablution areas, toilets, changing rooms and dining areas.
    • Action: The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Planning and Estate Management, continuously carries out improvement and upgrading works on school infrastructure according to needs, to ensure the comfort of teachers and students.
  2. Teacher Well-being:

    • Finding: There are teachers who have unbalanced supervision schedules and issues of work-time balance.
    • Action: The Ministry of Education has introduced a flexi hour working system in accordance with the duty hours guidelines set by the Public Service Department. In addition, the arrangement of student supervision schedules is also being implemented in a more orderly manner to ensure that teachers are able to carry out their duties in a balanced way.

The Ministry of Education and Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama will remain committed to strengthening the implementation of this integration system through continuous monitoring and the implementation of comprehensive studies to assess its level of effectiveness.
