SALAM asks MENTERI PEMBANGUNAN to state whether charges will be imposed on foreign vehicles considering that the routine maintenance costs of the Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge and Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Bridge reach BND300,000 and BND50,000 per year? This is to support fiscal sustainability, cover maintenance costs, and strengthen regional connectivity sustainably.

At present, the charges imposed on foreign vehicles are through the Exit and Entry System (EES) which is administered by the Royal Customs and Excise Department.
