ANSWER

Yang Berhormat Menteri Pembangunan

The Ministry of Development together with the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) is currently exploring possible methods for housing delivery through alternative allocations or financing such as Private Public Partnership.

The Housing Development Department has already held a dialogue session with the banking sector in the first quarter of 2025 with the aim of obtaining input from the banks regarding housing loan financing such as loan structure, interest rates and loans. God willing, in the third quarter of this year, the dialogue session will continue with local developers.

The Ministry will also continue to explore other methods that are considered capable of helping to accelerate the rate of provision of new houses without affecting the social objectives of the National Housing Scheme.

Yang Berhormat Yang Di-Pertua. That is all the answer that Kaola is able to convey in answering the question from Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Suyoi bin Haji Osman.
