YANG BERHORMAT PEHIN ORANG KAYA INDERA PAHLAWAN DATO SERI SETIA HAJI AWANG SUYOI BIN HAJI OSMAN requested the MINISTER OF ECONOMY, TRADE AND INDUSTRY to state whether all ongoing BEDB investments could be publicised from time to time so that they would be known to the public, not only in terms of revenue but also the number of jobs created. This would also give the public confidence in the returns from FDI and encourage other foreign investors to come to Brunei Darussalam.

At present, the achievements of FDI have been publicised through various platforms to enhance public understanding and confidence in the contribution of foreign direct investment to the country’s economic development and diversification.

BEDB collaborates with Radio Television Brunei (RTB), KRISTAL FM and local media to share developments in the economic sector, particularly those contributed by the FDI sector.

In addition, BEDB also takes the opportunity to participate in expos both within and outside the country, as well as using the BizBrunei platform, which has a large follower base of 161,895 followers, as a channel to promote local PMKS, FDI projects and developments related to the country’s economy.

In relation to this matter, this Ministry takes note of Yang Berhormat Pehin’s comments, and efforts will be further intensified to publicise such information from time to time, so as to reach more members of the public in this country.
