ANSWER
Yang Berhormat Menteri Hal Ehwal Dalam Negeri
Since 2022, the Ministry of Home Affairs, through the District Departments, has utilised several Government assets that are no longer in use, such as the former Post Office building in Kuala Belait, which was converted into Pusat Satu Kampung Satu Produk; the Kampung Shop premises at Bangunan Kedai Rakyat Jati, Bangar Town, as a marketing centre for local products and to support the economic activities of the Village Consultative Councils; and the opening of a Kampung Shop at Dewan Muhibbah, Brunei and Muara District Office, operated by the Kasat Village Consultative Council.
Other measures implemented include optimising the shop units at Dewan Kemasyarakatan Mentiri. The Manjalin Market building, which had not been in operation since 1998, was reactivated through cooperation between the Brunei and Muara District Department and the Kasat Village Consultative Council. In addition, vacant spaces at the Ministry of Home Affairs have also been used as platforms to support and strengthen the marketing, branding and expansion of local products through activities such as pop-up markets and socioeconomic sales, particularly for the TUNAS project, Pop Up Market and others.
