YANG BERHORMAT AWANG HAJI DAUD BIN JIHAN asked MENTERI PENDIDIKAN to state the current status and continuity of the Integrated National Education Information System (iNEIS) project, as well as the plans for upgrading or replacing the system in line with the aspirations of the MOE Digital Transformation Plan 2023-2027.
ANSWER
Yang Berhormat Menteri Pendidikan
For information, the Integrated National Education Information System (iNEIS) has no longer been used since 2021, as the system’s server equipment has reached the end of its service life and is no longer able to optimally support operational and security requirements.
In this regard, in line with the aspirations of Pelan Transformasi Digital Kementerian Pendidikan 2023–2027, the School Enterprise Resource Planning System (SERPS) project has been identified for implementation under Rancangan Kemajuan Kedua Belas (RKN12).
The SERPS system aims to develop a centralised and integrated education information platform, encompassing the comprehensive management of student, teacher and school data. Its implementation is expected to improve administrative efficiency, strengthen data transparency, and support more data-driven planning and decision-making processes.
At present, the Ministry uses an internally developed system, namely the Data Collection Platform (DCP), for data collection and management purposes. This platform will be integrated into the SERPS system to ensure data continuity and strengthen the comprehensive integration of information.
The SERPS project is currently at the tender process stage, and the Ministry will ensure that its implementation is carried out in an orderly, secure and sustainable manner to support the long-term needs of the national education system.
